| Value Education
The value education programme aims to strengthen
the moral sense and raises value consciousness. The topics
are drawn from religious, psychological and social values.
Some of the concepts that are dealt with are self-esteem,
positive mental attitude, spirituality, sexuality, HIV/AIDS
etc. The teachers use a myriad of activities to impart the
concepts prescribed in the syllabus. Some of the activities
that are used are: role play, debates, newspaper clippings,
skits, group discussions etc. The holistic education also
tries to engender transformation in individuals and make them
catalysts for the same by honing their personal, inter-personal
and societal skills.
Counselling
The counselling department pitches in to
constantly monitor students’ academic performance. The
department’s personnel also try to identify problems,
if any; facilitate remedial systems and aid in improving self
esteem and confidence of students. Students may also approach
the counsellors for solace amidst any problem. The department
also focuses on students, who do not perform well in exams
and are irregular to the class.
Attendance and Progress of the Wards
Every parent is anxious to learn the performance of his ward,
be it academics or attendance. And we, at Christ Junior College
are equally concerned. The attendance and academic performance

retrieve the details of the ward throughout the academic year.
