The academic year 2010-2011 began on this positive note with every Christite positively brimming with enthusiasm and excitement as the proceedings of the Inauguration got under way on the 11th of May, 2011. Rev. Fr. Thomas C Mathew, Vice Chancellor, Christ University was the esteemed guest of honour who inspired the eager students and asked them to further the boundaries of excellence set by the predecessors of Christ College. He also stressed that mere academic brilliance served no purpose if the individual is not holistically developed in all spheres especially with regard to values. The occasion also witnessed the felicitation of the state rank holders of the II PUC Board Examination along with the toppers of the Science, Arts and Commerce streams of the I and II PU Annual Examination. The college magazine "Lumiere 2010" also was unveiled by the Chief Guest.

A classical dance rendering choreographed to the peak of aesthetic grace and elegance served as the perfect culmination to the inauguration ceremony and a million hopes echoed all over as the students sang the college anthem with the pride and gusto unique to a Christite thus marking the beginning of a new academic journey.
