Christ Junior College held it
Graduation Day Ceremony for the passing out batch of 2012 today,
10 January 2012. Nearly 1163 students bid adieu to their alma
mater after completing the two years’ Pre-University Course
in an emotionally charged atmosphere at the grand ceremony.
Mr. Kurian Thomas, General Manager, The Innovation Group, Wipro
called upon the graduating batch to remember that their education
never stops. He reminded them that one needs three things in
life to succeed: self-confidence, thirst for knowledge and sense
of responsibility. Mr. M. P. Vikram, the parent invitee, expressed
his thanks to the institution on behalf of the parent community.
He noted that he was impressed by the way his child had grown
in the institution with the discipline, the kind of exposure
she got, and the academic environment.
The graduating students pledged to their alma mater that they
will always cherish its values and uphold it during the oath
taking ceremony. The scroll held by the class representatives
of the graduating batch were passed on to their juniors; thus,
representing continuity and tradition of the institution. Three
students from each stream in college shared their experiences
in the last two years and took the audience on a nostalgic voyage.
It showed their sense of belongingness to the institution and
their willingness to carry forward its legacy. The I PUC choir
wished their seniors a bright future and the graduating batch
sang of thankfulness and hope. The cultural programme was a
semi-classical contemporary dance that deciphered various moods
of joy. |
