Graduation Day Ceremony - 2014

Graduation Day is an important event in a student’s life because it is the culmination of one phase of their academic achievement. Christ Junior College held the annual Graduation day on January 31, 2014, when the students satisfactorily completed the two years of pre-university course training prescribed by the Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka.

Our entire Graduation day ceremony was carried out with solemnity, yet there was something charming that made students reflect upon their future and set goals about what they expect in the future. The Graduation day message by the Principal, the key note address by the chief guest Mr. Lakshminarayana I.A.S, Commissioner, BBMP, Karnataka, the message by the class teacher Mr. Pradeep C E served this purpose of reflection and exhortation to achieve one’s dreams. The Oath taking ceremony by the graduating class and the representative students of the junior class with the scroll of knowledge in their hands, was not just a show of solidarity to the Alma Mater but also symbolic of the continuum of legacy of education for prosperity left by the Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of the CMI congregation and whose vision and mission, Christ Junior College upholds.

The focus was on the baccalaureate ceremony which is the handing over of the course completion certificates to the students, besides congratulating them on working hard to achieve their purpose and rewarding them for the same.

A nostalgic charm was rendered to the day when the valedictorians chosen to represent the streams and the evening college took the stage for their valedictory expressions. A thanks giving and a farewell song was penned and tuned especially for the occasion and the college choir rendered it melodiously.

The day was special as parents of the graduating class, well-wishers, friends and faculty members witnessed the event, and cheered the students. The formal programme culminated in the Graduation lunch hosted by the college.
