| The I PUC Inauguration for the academic
year 2009-10 took place on 8 June 2009. Young students, just
out of school, walked into the portals of Christ Junior College,
marking the beginning of a wonderful journey of academic life.
The inauguration started off with a colourful choreography
detailing the various aspects of a Christite in Christ Junior
College.
Fr. Thomas C Mathew, Vice-Chancellor, Christ University,
addressed the youngest group of Christites. While describing
the various types of multiple intelligences in an individual,
he accentuated the fact that each and every individual is
gifted and is endowed with a special talent. Making the best
use of their strengths and the opportunities that are presented
before them will lead them to success in their life.
Fr. Jose. C.C Principal, Christ Junior College, urged the
students to have a goal in their life and work towards achieving
it. Citing the example of cycling great, Lance Armstrong,
the principal spoke about the importance of will power and
determination in one's life to succeed. The programme culminated
with a performance by ex-Christite Aneesh Vidyashankar and
Joseph Sushil Rao. After the inaugural function, the students
went through the Orientation Programme which dealt with Campus
Culture, Mission, Vision and Core Values of the college, followed
by a session on Coping with Change, the next day.
